A comprehensive guide starting from transportation to attraction, and also the local cuisines in Sokcho that are not to be missed. Even though, we spent less than 48 hours in Sokcho (속초) but it is the best highlight during our short stay in South Korea.
After visiting the NSeoul Tower, I meet my friends at Myeong Dong area for shopping. We did not have any plans for our dinner, hence as we walked along the street we saw this army stew (budae-jjigae) restaurant that caught our attention, since we were craving for some spicy food too. We did not realise that it was actually a famous restaurant which is owned by a Korean singer and there are two outlets in Seoul. (more…)
I always wanted to visit the Namsan tower or N Seoul Tower, I did not have the chance to visit it when I was in Korea 6 years ago. Therefore, I told myself for this trip I have to go and take some photos there. Based on my memory I thought that getting to Namsan tower is easy, but it was not. I wanted to go up to Namsan tower via cable car, however, after researching on ways to get there and various comments from others, I decided to take a bus up instead. In this post, it will cover the transportation, where to purchase the ticket, redemption and what is there to see and recommendations.
A must-have dish when you are in Korea, Korea samgyetang also known as Korean ginseng chicken soup, it is popular to be eaten on the hottest and most sultry summer days in Korea, the sambok (삼복) days, Chobok (초복), Jungbok (중복), and Malbok (말복) as a food that restore vitality.
This hotel was chosen after much consideration because we are not familiar with Seoul transportation and my previous trip was quite some time back. I remembered how tiring it was, I had to drag my luggage and walked many slopes and stairs in order to get to my accommodation. After the experience, I told myself that I should stay at a place which is convenient and I do not have to climb the flight of stairs. Transportation should be easily accessible, and I found this hotel which is conveniently located near to the Subway station and bus stop that has direct access to the airport.
Have you heard about the city airport at midtown, where you can skip the queue at the airport and have your baggage check-in and departure immigration done?
I did not know about it until I was searching for the transportation to Gangnam, it was then I chanced upon this service that was shown at the official website. Having to know about this service make my return trip a swift and easy one, I was a little unsure and insecure because there is not much information about it.
Since i have the experience now, I hope to share this information here for more people to benefit from it. This post will be a step by step guide for travellers who wish to use the city airport terminal service at Samsung-dong City Airport Terminal (COEX).
A transportation guide which will focus on the bus service that is available from Incheon International Airport to your hotel. The reason for writing this post is for travellers who do not wish to carry their luggage climbing up the long and tiring stairs from the subway station and hoping to get right in front or close to their accommodation doorsteps with ease and comfort.
Our hotel is at Gangnam Ward, thus I will put down more detailed information on how to purchase the tickets, what bus to take and also, important points to note.
