What is there to eat during late night in Hong Kong?
There are a lot of good food around that open until midnight.
I will Introduce a few stalls that i often visit, when i am in Hong Kong and craving for some late night food~
Again all this stall are mostly patronise by the locals, Cantonese is highly recommended to be spoken as for Mandarin and English it might be able to work too. All this 3 stall i am introducing doesn’t have an English menu, so is good if you could understand Chinese characters.
1. 華記小食 (Wah Kee Snack Food Stall)
There are a few stall that i patronise for yudan(Fishball) and my No.1 favorite would be this, even my Hong Kong friend said it was good~!
My Top 3 Favorite:
- Curry Yudan (Spicy)
- Curry Yudan (Original)
The spicy curry yudan is very spicy, even as a person who is able to tolerate spicy food finds it spicy.
Original have slight spiciness in it too.
1 Prat Ave, Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong
2. 新興棧食家 (Sun Hing Chang Restaurant)
Famous fish porridge stall that was known by the locals with its filling fish belly meat and big portion of porridge.
Not easy to find actually but if you are shopping/ staying around temple street you could walk around this streets where there are a lot of nice food around.
23 Ning Po St, Yau Ma Tei, Hong Kong
Average is HKD$37-50
The fish belly contains a lot of fish bones so be careful while eating
For people who doesn’t eat fish there are other option too, so not to worry the porridge was boil with fish bone so the taste of the porridge with the sweetness of fresh fish.
3. JiaJia Dessert(佳佳甜品)
Revisited again this year but have it to-go, i got myself the stewed papaya with ice sugar.
