The MUST eat pastel de nata/egg tart in Portugal.
Why? The reason to eat here is simple as this is the pastry restaurant, which holds the original receipt from Mosteiro dos Jerónimos, the originator for pastel de nata. If you are to compare the pastel de nata to the others selling along the streets in Lisbon, you will know that there is a real difference between the original and the “fake”. ** something is missing, and this is why it makes this egg tart so invincible .**

Suggestion:
Knowing that this restaurant is famous and always crowded with people. It would be good to avoid their peak hour, which is afternoon. We reached there quite late, around 19:00-20:00, although there are still people queuing (maybe 5-6 in line) to take out, but is not that crazy from what you have seen from the TripAdvisor or what. No queue for dine-in.
Overall?
Yummy~ Two thumbs up~!~! Even though the tarts were a little cold when we got back to our apartment but it still tastes delicious and when it was added with a little dash of cinnamon BAM! Hit jackpot** it is really that fantastic. We even bought an extra back home, although when we came back Singapore it is not in shape anymore the taste is still excellent. Love the packaging too, classy and pretty.
