Overall:

We had a great afternoon at the Haxnbauer, we loved the authentic ambience of the local restaurant. Food portion was just enough for 4 of us, the cost was reasonable not as expensive as it will be if we were to order German food in Singapore. I like how the pork knuckle was done, crispy on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside, the sauce was a good match. Personally, I like their sides especially the mashed potato with the fried spring onion on top, simple but somehow addicting. For the pork knuckles, there are a lot of option to choose from, catered for everyone regardless you are solo or in a big group.

2-cents opinion:

Get the pork knuckle size that is suitable for you, as you can see from the window it is really huge and best to share it. If you felt that your pork knuckle is too dry it is good to give honest feedback to the waiter when he walk over to ask how is the food. The water served in Germany restaurants are sparkling and cost almost the same as beer, will not suggest ordering that as it will be not worth the money.
