Spending your day in Lamma Island is one of the best choice, if you love nature. Had enough of shopping and seeing tall building/ skyscrapers.
Why not hop on to a ferry and head down here a relaxing and laid back day getting rid of the bustling sound of traffic and neon light.
A beautiful little island that situated southwest of Hong Kong island and reaching here will only take you about half an hour.
A rough guide of where i have covered:
Yung Shue Wan
Yung Shue Wan Tin Hau Temple
Lamma wind
Hung Shin Ye Bench
Lamma family trail
Sok Kwu Wan
Sok Kwu Wan Tin Hau Temple
This is the map of Lamma Island, which i think is very useful:
How long do you need?
4 Hours or more by foot
You could follow the family trail which will be more simple and easier from Yung Shue Wan to Sok Kwu Wan will be around 1 1/2 hour.
If you want to cover Mo Tat Wan and Shek Pai Wan is approximately 2 hours
**Renting of bicycle is also available on the island.

Little story:
I couldn’t believe that i could walk for so long and covering so much places in a day as i was alone walking up the Lamma wind was the scariest part of the trip as the route up is not like the family trail where you could actually see some scenery or maybe some families or friend walking pass you. Walking up Lamma wind is a difficult path where there is a never ending route up you are walking on car lane and no one at all i only saw 1 runner and a cleaner on the road on my way up the half and hour walk up. What is worst is when i walk down saw a huge bunch of dragonfly hovering on the top of my head * i had to run my way down* T_T
There isn’t much tourist that day, not so sure why but might be due to the weather and is a weekday. Is a good walk although sometimes i will feel scared or uncertain as the path are quite narrow and a split path to choose from you wouldn’t know which is the correct path. However, might be due to this trip i started to love trekking.
