We head out early to Osaka Castle, this is my 3rd time there but every time i felt different be it the scenery or psychologically. It was one of the must go in Osaka, it was known as the top 10 place to visit.
How to get there?
There are a few ways to reach there, for us the fastest and most convenient way was to Osakajokoen station:
To get to Osaka Castle we will pass by the Osakajo Hall.
Then you will be at the Osakajo Park:
Pass through the Aoya gate
Cost:
The entrance fee for each pax is 600 yen, which I think is reasonable and not expensive. If I do remember correctly you could also get a discount entry for purchasing the Kansai pass.
Operating Hours:
09:00 – 17:00 ( Last Entry 16:30)
** To note of extended operating hour, in special season**
Overall:
Osaka Castle have a very interesting history behind it but I will skip this part before I bored the hell out of you guys. What to do there is basically take photos and photos and photos~!~!
Anyway, last year Dec when I was there. It marks its 400year anniversary so there is some special program going on and souvenirs. It will be on-going until next year 2016.
What is there to see inside the castle is actually the museum and the observatory deck on the 8th floor.
Once you open the sliding door ****Strong wind alert***** but the view was really good~!
I added another itinerary for my sister and brother before we head back to the hotel to collect our things to go down Kyoto.
Near to the Osaka castle there is NHK Osaka broadcasting center, we went to check out whether there is any filming going on that day and we were lucky cause there is~!~!
Cost:
Free
Operating Hours:
10:00- 18:00 (Last admission 17:30)
What to see?
Even though, we are not sure who it is but anyway the Japanese know it was an ongoing drama.
To catch live drama filming, we went up to level 9.
No photos were to be taken during filming, so we took other scene on the floor.
That ends our last stop in Osaka~
