[Eat] Japan,Shinjuku- Dinner at Itteki Hassenya

Craving for some izakaya food? Or some place that you could have a beer hung out with your friends. This place might be a great choice for you.

Itteki Hassenya

A simple Izakaya restaurant, introduce by my Japanese friend. After I told them I have no preferences on what to eat for dinner that day and they sent me the food review website and asked if I was interested in trying it. And Yes, of course. I was attracted by their signature fried chicken and oden photos.

Overall:

The restaurant is near to my hotel, less than 5 minutes walk and for friends who are not staying at Shinjuku area, don’t worry if is inconvenient for you because is near to the Shinjuku train station too. The food was fantastic, especially the black oden and fried chicken. Good ambiance for friends or family gathering.

That day a server, accidentally spilled and broke some plates near us. We were quite surprised that the staff who broke the plates didn’t apologize and fortunately no one was hurt.

In Japanese culture especially in the Izakaya restaurant when a staff made a mistake or broke something they will say out loudly 失礼しました!(Shitsure shimashita), which means “I am sorry for my mistake.” But no apology, which was quite surprising for me and my Japanese friends.
