[Help] Netherlands- Stay connected in Amsterdam

Thinking of how to stay connected in Netherlands but not a big fan of wi-fi egg. Want to get a prepaid Simcard at the airport when your arrival. This post might be useful for anyone, who are planning or packing your bags to Amsterdam soon~

Airport Telecom

Airport Telecom (Schiphol International Airport Map)

25EUR-55EUR

For more information:

http://www.airporttelecom.nl/en/

To note:

Cost in the telecom store is much more higher than you purchase online.** I believe that we paid for the service charge, as the staff helped us to do all the setting**

Lycamobile prepaid sim card can be purchase online. The range for the prepaid data online cost 15EUR or even lesser when promotion.

What did we get?

We got the option #3, where we have 750Mb with no credit. This is how the prepaid Simcard works in Netherlands, they have this option, where you can use your credit or if you do not use it it will be added into as your data.

Suggestion:

For traveller staying for less than 4 days, option 2& 3, will be the best and if the data speed is not one of your concern. What if your flight is too early and you reached before their operating time?  Don’t worry you can head over to the HEMA food, which operates 24hours they do sell prepaid sim card there too, however do note that the staff will not help you to do the setup like in the telecom store.

There is another telecom company, like Vodafone,  Lebara (Sometimes will have a little pop-up store in the airport).

You can check them out below:

**For online purchases, prepaid sim card can only be send to a Dutch postal address.
