Prior our trip to Seville, we have seen many beautiful photos taken by other tourists at the Plaza de España. Hence, we set aside one afternoon to visit this place and see the spectacular architecture ourselves.
Plaza de España
The Plaza de España was the project of the 1929 Ibero-American Exposition World’s Fair. It is located in María Luisa Park, and it was built to promote tourism of Seville. There are 48 pavilions surrounding the building, each pavilion is to showcase Spain’s architecture.

Plaza de España was used for some scenes in Episode II of George Lucas’ STAR WARS saga – Attack of the Clones.

Seville is a calm and peaceful city and this leaves us with a good impression. Plaza de España is a place where you can spend the whole afternoon at the square people watch, and stroll around the plaza leisurely. Most importantly, you can choose your preferred way to tour the plaza eg. horse carriage, boat paddling.
