Decided to head out to the suburban area of Osaka as we are not staying in the city centre. We stayed near to this ward called Sakai. Not many people have heard of it, however, if you have been to Osaka a few times you might be interested to visit this place. It has always been on my go-to list because of the photos I have seen online. Recently, it has garnered some attention due to the advertising that is done for its annual new year event.

One of the reason to visit Sakai ward would be to ride on the Chin Chin Densha which would pass by the residential area and the older district of Osaka. In this post we will be looking at how to purchase the tram pass and some of the places to visit.

When visiting Osaka, I will always try to search for a good okonomiyaki restaurant. At first, I had a few restaurants in mind but in the end, this restaurant stands out and it was introduced by my Japanese friend. We gave it a go and even though that there is not much review anywhere even in Japan site. However, it was the up and coming “B class” gourmet which was listed in 2018 Michelin Bib Gourmand.

Have been hearing about since it was opened as it is located on the high floor of Abeno Harukas, Japan highest skyscraper. HARUKAS 300 observatory is the MUST visit place when in Osaka, It is best known for its sunset and night view. Situated at the Osaka city Abeno ward, Abeno Harukas open in March 2014, also known as the tallest skyscraper in Japan. [Move] Using the 5 Day JR Takayama-Hokuriku Area Tourist Pass

A trip we had from Nagoya to Osaka via the Hokuriku Arch. As there are a few stops and places that we hope to visit, for instance, Shirakawa-go, Kanazawa and Osaka, this pass actually works well for us.

I will be putting down the important details on where to get the ticket, how to exchange your voucher, comparing the cost for different agencies, some of the terms and conditions the pass has, and points that we have to take note of.

Always wanted to try and make my own Okonomiyaki in Japan. I got a chance to do so in one of my trip to where the origin of Okonomiyaki came from, Osaka. A restaurant that was introduced by my Japanese friend who got to know that I would like to visit a restaurant where I could make my own okonomiyaki.

If you plan to visit West Japan but wanted to venture out of the cities to other regions in Kansai for a short day trip. This pass will be a good recommendation for you, as it covers all the famous prefectures and some of the hidden gem in Kansai area.

The location of this hotel is highly recommended if you are planning to travel out of Osaka for a day trip or a stopover. Otherwise, staying in Umeda or Namba area will be a better choice.

For me, I find this hotel really convenient as it is just above the train station, and there are a lot of food available till late.

This will be a short post, I am putting this post individually is because i want to introduce this interesting snack that you should not miss.

We just have snacks along the way.
We stopped when we see the snack store. Each attraction have their own attracting snack, which is the characters bun~!~! Which made me gone crazy because is so cute~~ 😀

My first snack was snoopy and hello kitty bun~! And when we walk around, we found a few more.

The buns doesn’t really fill us up, while we had finish 2 buns we were still hungry,so we got ourselves the lovely turkey leg~!~!
