[Move] Transport between Taoyuan Airport & Taipei Main Station (Update: 2018)

Getting between Taoyuan International Airport and Taipei Main Station has always been a long journey to us in the past but now with the opening of the Metro Line in February 2017 directly to the Airport, it has saved a lot of time for the travellers.

Here are some of the transport methods to get between Taoyuan Airport and Taipei Main Station.

Taoyuan Airport ↔ Taipei Main Station

Before the Metro operates, there are 3 methods to choose from. Will cover on 2, one of them is to take the bus to Taipei Main Station directly, and the other method is to transfer from bus to train at HSR Taoyuan Station, which can save more time but cost a little more.

Method 1: Bus

Take bus number 1819, the cheapest transportation between Taipei Main Station and Taoyuan Airport.

Boarding the bus:

Suggestion:

This would be the best way if your flight is in the morning and you have to reach the airport before 06:00 because it is operating 24 hours. Even though it might not be the most comfortable ride, but it is the best cost-saving transportation.

Method 2: Metro

From March 2017, Taoyuan Metro has officially opened the line for Airport T1 Station (Taoyuan Airport MRT Line A12 Station) and Airport T2 Station (Taoyuan Airport MRT Line A13 Station) for departure and arrival passengers.
