The Month of Giving~ Where to donate your pre-loved items and others?

“September the month of giving”

Had been thinking of sharing a post on something like this for some time but did not have a chance to do so as I felt that it would be a little awkward.

Over the years when I started this travel blog it was a hobby and still, it is. Even though, I am not earning a lot from the affiliates links as the visitors’ rate dropped tremendously when the COVID-19 pandemic happened and it never really gone up.

I am still quite optimistic about it and I did save up a little for this blog to prepare myself if rainy days happened. Every year I will put aside an amount to donate if I receive the payout from the affiliates links and purchase as I felt that it was because of you guys that I am able to continue writing.

Growing up in an Asian family when we are doing something good or charitable our parents would tell us to stay low don’t need to tell everyone that we are doing it. However, recently I saw an interview with an idol and inspired me to do something like him too. He said that people might think that when you are doing something charitable and showing it, is like you are trying to build an image of yourself trying to show off. But that’s not how he felt, he felt that if you are doing something good you should talk about it so that more people will join you is the small action that you did that can make a huge difference. I totally agree with what he had said and decide to do a post about it too.

Donations of your old books, furniture and clothes can bring them to the collection centre, if the item is too big and bulky you can call or WhatsApp the person in charge. they would also welcome donors to contribute $60.00 as a Voluntary Contribution to reduce the impact of the additional costs. Some of the collection centres are 24/7 where there is a collection bin.
